new beginning

"Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America - they will be met. On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord."

-PRESIDENT Barack Obama!

And to think people thought he didn't "say" anything at all.

Which is quite funny if you actually think about it...Obama is one of the most intellectual and eloquent Presidents this country has ever had.

In fact, out of curiosity, I looked up Bush's 1st inaugural address in 2001...if you want to read it, go here: http://www.school-for-champions.com/speeches/gwbush_1st_inaugural.htm

Compare that speech to President Obama's this morning--even on paper, Bush's speech pales in comparison to the incredibly moving words that were spoken today. The difference between Obama and Bush is that, when you're watching each of them speak, you ACTUALLY BELIEVE the words Obama is saying...so if that's "not saying anything", you could have fooled me!!
