dad: oh! I wonder if I should hide their baskets? What do you think??
(*note* "they" being Cole and Kennedy)
me: I think Kennedy might have a little trouble finding hers...
dad: (creepy laugh) Well they would both have trouble finding them! I would hide them good!

picture BONANZA!!
*edit* If you can't see the full picture (i.e. words or what not), just click on it and it will come up bigger :)Sooo...I haven't posted pictures in a LONG time!! (Which, by the way, is very odd for me!) Therefore, I present to you, a picture bonanza!
(fyi, when I decided to call this post 'picture bonanza', I had a million more pictures planned to upload...but unfortunately my computer is being unnecessarily slow and it's taking forever and a day to upload pictures. Must be that -22 degree weather--it's making everything slow!)
Anyways, the picture above and the picture below are two of my ABSOLUTE favorite pictures of Cole. The top picture is hilarious--the caption just came to me and it fit and made me laugh so hard. Heck, who am I kidding, it still makes me laugh when I see it. The one right below this is the polar opposite--so sweet and innocent! It's one Stef took (I prefer editing Stef's pictures--or Christie's--of Cole and Kennedy because their cameras are so much better and the photos are better quality). Anyway, Stef took this photo and I effectively stole it :) (but don't worry, she loves it when I do that!) and I just so happened to be playing around with the new picnik effect and found the clone one. Great timing--this picture is just so absolutely adorable!
This picture is one of my faves as well (get used to
Another one of my favorite things (see?) is making up what Cole and Kennedy would be saying could they say things...
My newest, or should I say, most recent, fascination editing pictures is scenery pictures or any type where I can use song lyrics or quotes to get my point across...the next few fall under that category...

And sometimes, I simply just love pictures with my friends :)

Dole=Ellie's version of Cole, as I'm sure you all figured out...
And this is Cole's most recent self-portrait. The funniest thing about Cole and a camera is that, literally, the second I walk in the door and set down my purse, Cole is looking in it for my camera. How do I know he's looking for my camera? Because the second a) I give it to him or b) he finds it, he gets a huge grin on his face and doesn't bother with my purse the rest of the night. Oh yeah, and I find about 300 pictures of him (or something) on my camera at the end of the night. (and no, i'm not exaggerating when I say 300!)

Hope you enjoyed!

labor day approaches...
Labor Day is fast approaching...and that makes me sad...even though it'll still be warm for awhile, Labor Day still means end of summer for me (I'm not quite used to this post-school life yet). I have to remind myself daily that I'm not going back to Winona and, worse yet, CLASSES! Anyway, on to more dreaded news...I lost my camera battery charger. I know...it's horrific! If you know me (and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that if you're reading this...you know me...), then you know how much I love my camera and pictures and, specifically, taking pictures of my niece and nephew...hence, I'm quite depressed lately...if I don't find it soon, I may be forced to go buy a new one :(
Boo! Well...since I don't have my camera camera, I DO have my cell phone camera...but I haven't gone crazy with it yet (though I've been tempted)...I do have a few new pictures to share with everyone that are pretty hilarious...so have at it!
*Disclaimer* The following pictures are actually backwards in the order that they happened...so if you really want to start from last Saturday and go in order, you have to start from the bottom...if you don't care, then here you go!
Ok so...ya know the little play place at Rosedale mall? Fun for kids right? LITTLE kids? Like kids that don't push and shove and run, etc, etc...well when the Splash Park fell through, Stef thought it would be fun to go to the mall and let Cole play for awhile...and he did have fun...BUT there was like 7 kids that were at least 9 or 10 and over running all over the place...not so much fun for the little kids right? PLUS we had to wait like 15 minutes for this lady to take her kid out of the car so Cole could ride it...and her kid wasn't even riding it...just sitting in it. I know I'm complaining but it's more because poor Cole didn't get to enjoy everything as much as he could have! I just hate stupid parents! *Ok my venting is over...I'll be positive from here on out...*
On Tuesday, I FINALLY got to watch Ellie and Maddie! (I only think I've been asking...scratch that...bugging Courtney about it for like a year!) Anyways, the girls were so much fun of course. Ellie was hilarious, as was to be expected and Maddie was just adorable. This is the face Ellie made after she asked me to take a picture of her...

Then after she looked at it, she asked me to take a picture of Maddie...so here's Maddie and the craziness that was her hair! (After the picture of Maddie, she asked to see a picture of 'Dole' so I showed her a picture of Cole and she grabbed my phone and kissed it...it was the cutest thing ever)

This is the two of them in the ball pit (which I believe is from Stef and Greg) which they loved all afternoon long...I think they were in and out of it for like 45 minutes straight...

And after Maddie went to bed, Ellie asked if she could "watch two episodes of Backyardigans"...yes, she actually asked for two episodes...so I said sure...she then proceeded to pull her rocking chair over and put it right in front of the screen! (Dont' worry...I moved her back a little bit, haha)

And here's him being even more tired and all snuggled up with auntie...maybe Blues Clues was a bad idea?
And here was the end result...a completely tuckered out boy! I had to wake him at 11:15 for lunch and otherwise he wouldn't sleep in the afternoon...which, he didn't fall asleep until like 2:45 anyways, haha....but he was just so exhausted, I couldn't help but let him sleep! Plus I love my snuggles...since he really doesn't fall asleep on people anymore. I had to take advantage!

Me: Ellie, what would you like for dinner?
Ellie: Chicken nuggets! What would you like for dinner?
Me: Hmm...I'll have chicken nuggets too. What else do you want for dinner?
Ellie: I'll have corn...what else do you want for dinner?
Me: I'll have corn too. Do you want milk for dinner?
Ellie: Yes....do you want milk for dinner?
Me: Sure, I'll have some milk...
That was it...she didn't repeat me all day or anything, just for dinner...I think she was just being polite and making sure I wanted some dinner too...haha
Ok so this picture....is of Anne...with...dun dun dun, COMPLETELY STRAIGHT HAIR! I think it took me like 40 minutes to make it this straight but it looks so great doesn't it?! (Not that it doesn't normally...)

This is little miss Kennedy...and, apparantly, the most comfortable way to sleep for 2 hours while walking around the fair...I just had to get a picture of it because to adults, we would wake up with the biggest kink in our neck...but Kennedy just loved it!

Ok so these pictures are from Saturday when I watched Cole all day while Stef and Greg went to the fair....this was at like 10, an hour or so after breakfast and Cole was hungry already...as you can see, he's doing the "eat" sign...

So this is something Stefanie warned me about...and I was so certain that my cute, adorable nephew would never do something like push the water button and spill water all over the kitchen floor but oh did he try! And just like she said, he looked at you with his puppy dog eyes and who can say no to that?!

So...Cole hasn't taken a morning nap in AGES but he must have been having a tired week or something because Stef said there was two days that week where he fell asleep on her at like 10 or 10:30...so here are the starting signs of a tired boy:

Alright thats it...hopefully I'll find my camera battery charger shortly and we can fix this picture drought we've been living in!

i miss my nephew and niece
Pretty much the only thing that's new is the title of this post...I miss Cole and KG...I got to see Cole tonight for a little bit but I almost think that seeing him real quick on my way home from work is worse because then I miss him even more! And I haven't seen Kennedy since last Thursday! Oh my goodness! Hopefully I can see her this Thursday..although I haven't run that past Christie and/or Jeff yet so who knows...well hopefully Stef and Cole can come with me and then I can get plenty of nephew/niece time all in the same day! Ok that's pretty much it...just wanted to share that I miss my two favorite people in the world!

Busy Sunday!
Ok...I feel like I'm posting all the time now! Anyways...Sunday was the annual ALS kickoff at the Dome...they always have a lunch and a little shindig before the game...and it's always a good time! This year it was kind of lonely...no huge family! Instead it was Stef, Greg, Cole, Jeff's parents Sue and Herb, and me. We were missing Dad who was down in Rochester, Anne who was in the Dominican Republic on a missions trip, and of course Christie and Jeff who were in the hospital with baby Kennedy! We still had fun even though we were a small group this year!
After the game, Stef and I went down to the hospital to spend some time with Christie, Jeff, and Kennedy...Jeff went out to run some errands and pick up some baby stuff, so we had some time for just us sisters and that was lots of fun! Here's some pics from the weekend!

Cole was VERY into clapping for the twins...this picture was when the starting players were getting announced....Cole was a great fan and cheered for every one!

Of course the game was right during Cole's regular naptime...but he was such a trooper! He napped on Stef for about 40 minutes and was super good the rest of the time!

After awhile, she passed out for a good hour or so...and once daddy came back with those gas drops, she was golden!

she had her eyes open and was having a full conversation with auntie stef at the end of the night!

ok call me lame but i think this picture is REALLY cool!!
Elf anyone? I know Christie loves that movie as much as I do so she'll get it... :)

Here he is sleeping on his momma...she's covering his ears but even after she stopped, he slept through all the noises and cheers!
Next, it was off to visit Kennedy. Stef and I stayed for a few hours and gave mommy and daddy lasch a helping hand when Kennedy wanted to make her presence known :) I prefer to think of it as her just wanting to hang out with her aunties!

mini KG
Since I had to work all day today and we have the ALS kickoff at the Twins game tomorrow, the only chance I had to see Kennedy again was last night...so I went down to the hospital and hung out with Christie, Jeff, and KG for the night. It was so fun! Here's a few more pics from last night--I didn't get to take too many but these one's are pretty cute!

Kennedy Grace Lasch!
My beautiful beautiful niece, Kennedy Grace, arrived early this morning at 8:31 a.m. She weighed 8 lbs, 3 oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long. She is so amazingly gorgeous, I cannot even say it enough!! I had to work until 430 so the whole time, I was just itching to get out of there and head down to the hospital to meet this wonderful little lady! ...take a look...tell me she's not the most beautiful little girl you've ever seen!

I am soooo proud of Christie! This is going to sound sooo cheesy but will be entirely true until I have kids of my own...my favorite thing in this world is being an aunt to such a wonderful nephew and now such a beautiful niece. There is nothing in the world better than seeing your sisters become mommy's and watching these little babies grow up!! (Don't roll your eyes at me Stef)
Beautiful new momma with lil KG! (Oh btw...did I mention that's my nickname for her?! Since her initials are KG and I'm so in love with Kevin Garnett, we decided that Kennedy can be my own mini KG!---totally Christie's idea...and what a good one!)
I love love love this picture!!!
Cole already loves his little cousin! I can just see it now...they'll be bff getting into trouble at all the family events!

WELCOME TO THE WORLD KENNEDY GRACE LASCH!!
